The Zungle grows restless as the Zoogz’ hunger rises…
Gm/Ga/Gn to the tribe wherever you may be when reading this! From our last article, you know that we’ve discussed leveling as an initial use case for $MNKZ, the token earned daily by staking your Monkeez in the Zungle. If you don’t, looks like you have some reading to do.
This next chapter in the Zungle book brings two pieces of functionality to our ecoystem: the item shop and leveling Zoogz. Let’s discuss both in depth, and as always there will be a TL;DR for those who want the bullets.
Item Shop
The Zungle Item Shop is open for business! When you visit our site you’ll notice a new tab within the Zungle menu appropriately named “Shop”. Here you will find all of the items available for purchase initially with your hard earned $MNKZ. Item options are subject to expand as we grow and build out more use cases.
There are 4 initial items for purchase, all different bundles of Bananaz:
- Bananaz (SM)
- Bananaz (MD)
- Bananaz (LG)
- Bananaz (XL)
In each item card, there are a few pieces of data that are important for consideration when purchasing. Each card details the price of each item, the XP Points each item yields, the name, and which stats it is available to be used for in leveling. Although all 4 initial items can be used for any stat (aggression/toughness/smarts/vitality), future items will not all be universal.
Purchasing items from the Shop is done as you would on any other storefront. You can add as many items as you want to the cart and then submit one transaction to purchase all of them in bulk. As these NFTs are ERC1155 tokens, bulk purchasing is very inexpensive from a gas perspective. Like any other ERC1155 token, they can be bought and sold on secondary marketplaces.
Leveling Zoogz
Now a moment we’ve been waiting for, prepping Zoogz for battle. To level Zoogz, they must eat items in order to gain XP (see above if you skipped that part). Once a Zoog’s specific stat has crossed the XP threshold required to increment the level, their level will be updated and reflected across all marketplaces when metadata is refreshed. Each XP threshold increases exponentially as you progress, making it take more items to reach each subsequent level.
Before each a Zoog can be leveled, its XP levels must be initialized to that of their intial levels. Clicking “Initialize” (shown above) will initialize all of the base stats for each Zoog that you own, meaning you only will need to do this once.
Items can either be fed in bulk to upgrade a stat to the next level, or one at a time. From a cooldown perspective, Zoogz can only eat 10 items in a 24 hour period across all stats, so pick and choose wisely. Each of these stat levels (and more) will be randomly compared in battlez. Types matter. Stats matter.
