With the inception of the Monkeez collection, the Zungle began, a virtual world home to these beloved primate creatures. We’ve seen some of what this world has to offer with the surprise shipment of Zoogz, but we have not yet been fully exposed to this place. This ever expanding world will only be revealed further with land ownership. Let’s dive in.

Traditionally land based NFT collections have been almost all hype with little to no follow through, promising ownership in a game yet to be developed and become stagnant assets. Yes, there have been exceptions to this cliche, but overall they have become a mocked concept in web3, promising the world and more, while delivering next to nothing.

We can change this narrative, empowering each land owner to decide what they want to do with their NFT land plot (within reason) just as they would with a physical land plot. Zungle Landz will further increase interaction in this ecosystem through collecting, crafting, and more. Owners tailor the experience to them, building and exploring what they find interesting and what they perceive as valuable.
The What:
Zungle Landz is a collection of NFT land assets where holders build, collect, and explore depending on their own preferences. This is not a collection of promises to be close to irl celebrities in the metaverse nor land ownership in a console game soon to be developed. Instead, this is about choosing your own adventure. Owners decide how their land plot grows. There is no one correct path. All options lead to new opportunities and new adventures.
On mint, Landz spawn as blank 3x3 grids of locked tiles. These tiles will need to be unlocked in order to build structures on. Each structure will serve a separate purpose (questing, crafting, etc) and have separate leveling concerns.
The Why:
Zungle Landz will expand the intractability within the ecosystem, offering new use cases for $MNKZ, Monkeez, Zoogz, and [redacted] (there is always more [redacted]). This collection helps to further achieve our vision of ecosystem development. Nothing within the Zungle only has one use case, it can all be tied together.
With building, possibilities are endless in the Zungle. New structures, for new ideas, for an ever-growing ecosystem. As the NFT space grows, so do we. Landz gives rise to the concept of interoperability within a space, showing that projects do not need to have one use case or attractive point of entry. Land owners can work together towards common goals, but these goals will be largely dependent on what owners want to build.
Biomez
Landz come in 6 different biomez, each with its advantages and limitations (supply denoted below):
- Dirt (200)
- Cloud (200)
- Molten (200)
- Aquatic (200)
- Cursed (100)
- Blessed (100)
Not all biomez are equal. Different sets of resources can be extracted from each biome type. What are resources? New items coming to the Zungle used in crafting, building, and exploration. We’ll dive more into that in a future article.
The Mint
The mint will be very familiar to most of you:
- Total Supply: 1000 Zungle Landz
- 30 Landz reserved for the team for future use, promos, collabs, etc
- 20 Landz airdropped to those with the highest Zungle score on snapshot (1 per wallet)
- 950 Landz remaining available to mint for pre/public sale
The Landz mint will have 3 phases:
- Phase 1: Holders with a Zungle Score over 100 (15 mins)
- Phase 2: All Monkeez holders (15 mins)
- Phase 3: Public Sale
- Mint date: August 9th 2023 12 PM EST
The presale (phases 1 and 2) will last for 30 minutes before opening up to the public. Snapshots will be taken at a random time prior to mint. In this presale period, addresses will be able to mint a maximum of 5 Landz per wallet while supply remains (5 total between phase 1 and phase 2). Public sale will be able to mint 5 Landz per transaction, first come, first serve. Landz will mint at a 2 avax mint price during the presale and 2.2 avax during the public sale.
